Drought is an issue that affects everyone: farmers, ranchers, forests and homeowners. Since the middle of 2011, what began as a dry spell has now expanded into a full-blown drought that covered all of Arkansas by June 2012.

The University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture is ready to help everyone cope with the challenges we face from the lack of rain and record-high temperatures.

With this site, we wanted to create a single, convenient container for all Arkansans to find critical resources for coping and surviving drought.

As always, we value your feedback. If there is information you would like to see on this site, please let us know, whether through your county extension office or through our curator, Mary Hightower (

We are here for you.
