Isaac has come and gone

Fields are drying and Arkansas farmers are back on their combines.  Portions of the state are grateful for a little relief from the hot and dry conditions.  Parts of the Delta saw nearly 10 inches of rain and some crop damage, but a number of farm ponds were replenished.  In some areas pastures are greening and producers are hoping they can get one more cutting of hay.  On Isaac’s fringes, however, the rainfall was negligible and the drought continues as relentless as before.  READ MORE …
